Conveniently located near bars and cafés, check-in process is straightforward and onsite parking is available.

Located in a quiet part of a very interesting town and locality. Friendly and efficient family run hotel/guest house with close attention to our requirements at breakfast.

The room faced onto an outdoor entrance courtyard. It was damp and unventilated except that windows could be opened; but that violated our privacy and security. No-one there spoke any foreign languages and we didn't speak Spanish.

Our room had a wonderful twin-view tiled balcony overlooking the town, palace, and several churches (very romantic) yet it was only a 5 minute walk to the centre of town ! Room was very clean and warm. Beautiful tiled bathroom. Breakfast was more than 'continental'. Free parking.

A little tricky to find on narrow lane but worth it in the end.

The rooms here have charming decorations and some come with balconies.

The Hotel was convienient, the breakfast was good, as much as you wanted. Price was good for what was on offer. Staff and owners were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately our room appeared to smell a little damp at times, I think this was due to lack of extractor in the bathroom but unless you intend to spend a lot of time in the room this is not a huge issue.

Within easy walking distance of the town (5 mins.) Many places of interest to see. Fantastic views from hotel. Excellent breakfast.

Hotel perfect but access narrow and steep. Also bar prices in the town are very steep compared with other towns on the Costa Verde.

The suite at La Solana Montanesa was beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed. the location is the best, being close to the town center, supermarket, and numerous restaurants and cafes. - We enjoyed visiting Taberna la bolera, which was only a short 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.

We had a very nice friendly welcome from the family. The room was airy and bright, with re-furbished bathroom. No aircon but not a major problem. Breakfast was ample with good supply of hot coffee and toast.Very peaceful and relaxing.

Difficult location to find with car, and possibly a challenge to anyone with walking difficulties.

Attractive building on hilside with pleasant views over the town. The staff were polite and helpful, the room spacious and comfortable and breakfast very good. It was only a short walk into the town centre.

The access is very steep and very narrow. The rooms are not sound- proofed and we were kept awake by the noise of other guests and on one night by a disco in the town.

We arrived late in the evening,11.00pm, but were well received with no hint of any frustration from the hotel staff at our late arrival. The hotel was not easy to find by car in the dark particularly with the several 1 way streets, steep hills and sharp bends. Once we were sorted the hotel proved an excellent choice with a lovely view over the town, and whilst there was a reasonably steep climb from the village centre,(as there is to most accom. In the town) at maybe 400 met.distance, it really did not present any undue problems.Despite the language difficulties, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were made to feel very welcome. We would have no hesitation in staying at Posada Rural La Solana again & highly recommend it.

The rooms here are so nicely decorated, and they are quiet too. I loved chilling on the terrace, which also had a sunny wrap-around balcony - perfect for soaking up the sun. the staff were really friendly and always willing to help out if you had any questions. 😊

Friendly welcome. Breakfast was wholesome and plentiful. The added touch of second "large" cup of coffee, without asking, was welcomed. Our room had a double aspect balcony with good views over El Capricho de Gaudi (well worth a visit), Sobrellano Palace and the University. The location of the hotel was ideal for meals in Comillas and walking to the beach.

Only one thing spoiled the experience and that was the Disco (some way away from the hotel). Couldn't hear any music but loads of noise from revellers at closing time (after 3am). Didn't last too long but enough to spoil a peaceful night's sleep! Whilst it was not a problem for us, there were some relatively steep roads in the vicinity of the hotel so not totally ideal for for those with walking difficulties. Finding the hotel was a challenge so patience required! However believing the signs from the main road is important albeit giving the impression of going in the wrong direction due to the one way system!

I booked a room with an exceptionally comfortable bed, a fridge, central heating and a work desk. The location was perfect - so close to the centre, the hill and the center of town where shopping and restaurants are;))
